What did people do before YouTube in orders learn how to fix things. I was catching up on the laundry today, and noticed the agitator wasn't spinning. I asked my wife if she had noticed this before. Oh, yeah, she says, about 2 weeks or so. :0 I'm not Mr. Fixit, so off to YouTube I go, and find it's a damn simple and cheap fix. Now, it's 1:00 am, and I'm putzing around with a washing machine. Tomorrow I go to the parts store and get the washer fixed.

I know my father had a vast network of friends that could each perform tasks related to their jobs. While my father was a jack of all trades/master of none, he had a lot of friends to help out where he had no skill. Cars were one area he did not need help and as such that is where I gained most of my car knowledge. I too have a few friends that have different jobs, an electrician with hvac license, plumber, mechanic etc. I normally help them with computer issues and they help me with those issues relating to their jobs, IF I cannot do the job myself.
